Gallery Božidar Jakac, every two years organize exhibition of artist living in Dolenjska and Bela krajina. This years theme was "I Fell Kostanjevica na Krki".
For this occasion I made a triptych "Dialogue" using mix media based on photographs. In exhibition catalogue, curator Barbara Rupelj has written about my work ...
"All of the works that have been selected for the exhibition reflect a certain personal relationship with Kostanjevica na Krki. Some of them had already been created and were chosen specifically for the theme of the exhibition, but the majority were created especially for the event, and these latter bring a unique charm to the entire exhibition. The piece by photographer Bojan Radovič, which he calls Dialogue, particularly stands out in this respect. It seems that the modern conceptualistic stance has suited him exceptionally well recently, so it is no surprise that he applied the principle again in this instance. The work is designed as a triptych. The selection of a tripartite image, which alludes to religious motifs, gives the work a special status. It presents us with an intimate story, based on memories of his youth when he visited Kostanjevica na Krki frequently. The array of circles in which the older images are imaginatively interwoven first reminds us of the photographer’s lens, but at the same time hints at the instability or “perforatedness” of our memory. But as we can see from the highlighted images at the extreme edges of the triptych, there are also memories that will never be erased. In this work, Radovič, using the poetically radical manner that has characterised his recent work, once again responds with a remarkable level of engagement."
